Our Commitment

Silver Scallop Consulting is committed to providing a website that can be used by people with a wide range of abilities, technologies, and ways of navigating. Accessibility is treated as part of the site's design and stewardship, not as a final compliance step.

Accessibility Goal and Current Status

The goal is to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. The site has been reviewed during development but has not yet received a formal third-party accessibility audit. Silver Scallop therefore does not claim complete conformance at this stage.

Measures Taken

The site is being built with attention to:

  • Semantic page structure and descriptive headings.
  • Keyboard access and visible focus states.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Readable type, spacing, and color contrast.
  • Labels and instructions associated with form controls.
  • Reduced-motion preferences for animated elements.
  • Responsive layouts that support zoom and smaller screens.
  • Plain language wherever specialized language is unnecessary.

Technologies

The site's accessibility relies on modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, together with current browser and assistive-technology support. Some experiences may vary across older browsers or uncommon combinations of software and assistive technology.

Known Limitations

No specific accessibility barrier is intentionally left unresolved, but this is an evolving site and limitations may be discovered as it is tested by more people. Third-party websites reached through external links are outside Silver Scallop's control and may follow different accessibility practices.

Feedback and Assistance

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need information in a different format, or have difficulty using any part of the site, please email jason@estrickland.net. Please describe the page, the problem, and the browser or assistive technology you were using if you are comfortable doing so.

You may also use the conversation page after email delivery is activated. Until then, email is the reliable contact method. Silver Scallop will make a reasonable effort to respond and provide an accessible alternative.

Ongoing Review

Accessibility will be reviewed as content, forms, and services are added. This statement will be updated when the site's accessibility approach or known limitations materially change.
